Bussey
If you are looking for a great Fourth of July experience, come to Bussey. The community goes all out to celebrate with a parade and fireworks. The town also has a great library and park.
History
Bussey is located in Liberty Township. In 1864, Jesse Bussey purchased the land where the town of Bussey is located. In 1867, he and his wife moved to Iowa. It wasn’t until 1875 that he thought of the idea to donate 50 acres of his land for a town. Two railroads ran through Bussey. Between 1899 and 1914, the community suffered three devastating fires.
