This is a landscape that weaves great hardwood forests, grasslands, wetlands, rock formations and river into a habitat that supports a wide variety of wildlife.  Iowa is a state where less than 1% of land is in public ownership.  Cell phones, computer games, television and our hectic lives often keep us disconnected from the natural world, so why not plan a trip to the Red Rock Area to reconnect!
