    Steve is a native of Indianola, Iowa and did his first oil painting at nine years of age.  He helped found the Creative Center in Omaha, Nebraska and has served as President of the Graphic Arts Guild in Omaha.  As a student in art school Steve was requested by President Johnson to paint his portrait for a poster to support U.S. savings bonds.  After having a career as an illustrator/designer, Steve has returned to oil painting.
