    Steve is a native of Indianola, Iowa and did his first oil painting at nine years of age.  He helped found the Creative Center in Omaha, Nebraska and has served as President of the Graphic Arts Guild in Omaha.  As a student in art school Steve was requested by President Johnson to paint his portrait for a poster to support U.S. savings bonds.  After having a career as an illustrator/designer, Steve has returned to oil painting.

  • Set in 1905 Imperial Russia, this broadway classic centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives.  Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door for adults, and $8 in advance or $10 at the door for students/ children.   • Peace Tree will host Des Moines' Le Jardin restaurant for a multiple course gourmet dinner and beer pairing. Appetizers and welcome beers will begin at 6:00 p.m. The seated portion of the meal will begin at 6:30 p.m.  Additionally, a brewery tour will be offered after the first course for anyone who is interested in going behind the scenes.

    Reservations are $55 per person, including tax and gratuity.  Space is limited and reservations are required, so I would encourage placing orders through our webstore or in our taproom.

(Must be at least 16 years old to borrow kayaks for the activity, and adults must accompany minors).  Activity may be cancelled if inclement weather/ lake conditions.
