There is always something to do at Lake Red Rock!   Come out and join us for some of these fun programs:

"Trail Trekkers" Walk

Thursday, July 7 - 10:00 a.m. - North Overlook Picnic Shelter Join us for a hike on the trails and see what crosses our path!  What critters might be lurking under fallen logs or around the next corner?  Use some of our equipment to take a closer look at the tiny animals that call this area home. 

Creatures of the Night Hike

Friday, July 8 - 9:00 p.m. - Whitebreast Campground (Meet at the parking lot by the fee booth ) Hike along a woodland trail in search of the night shift.  Follow the tracks left behind by the critters of the night and listen for owl calls and other lurking creatures!

Stewardship Day

Saturday, July 9 - 9:00 a.m.- North Tailwater Rec. Area (Meet in the North Tailwater parking lot) Help us keep the Red Rock parks clean! Join us for an hour or two to pick up litter from lake area parks.  Your efforts can make a huge difference!

Let's Go Paddling!

Saturday, July 9 -  2:00 to 4:00 p.m. - Robert's Creek East Boat Ramp Now you have the chance to experience both canoeing and kayaking the same day!  Give one or both types of watercraft a try and see how much fun paddling can be!  (Must be at least 10 years old to use kayaks.  Life jackets will be provided.)

Froggin' Hike

Saturday, July 9 - 8:30 p.m. - South Tailwater Rec. Area (Meet at the picnic shelter) Croaks, churps, trills, and burps...who's making all that noise?  Summer is a great time to enjoy the serenades of native frogs and toads.  Join us for a hike to one of Red Rock's wetlands to listen to the concert, identify some of their calls, and maybe catch a glimpse of some of the musicians!

"Build a Boat" Challenge

Sunday, July 10- 1:00 p.m. -North Overlook Campground (Meet at the amphitheater) Come try your hand at creating a small boat or raft out of recycled materials and learn about water safety as we test them in the pond afterwards!(Boat building supplies will be provided.)

All programs are free of charge. Outdoor programs are cancelled if raining.
