Don’t let the tranquility of beautiful Lake Red Rock fool you. The area has numerous events scheduled throughout the year to entertain and excite everyone in the family.
Thousands enjoy the action at the Knoxville Raceway each Saturday night during the racing season.
Experience the old-world charm of Pella’s Tulip Time Festival. Catch all the action at the Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals. Participate in outdoor events at Lake Red Rock. Plus there are concerts at the Pella Opera House, bird watching along the lake, antique shows, craft fairs, small town celebrations, parades and farmers’ markets throughout the area. Plan your stay around the events that mark the year in Iowa’s Red Rock area.
If you are planning to attend one of our events, make sure to check out the event web site and allow plenty of time to see other attractions in the area. Hotels and camping are often booked in advance during major events, but our chambers and CVBs can help you find the accommodations you need. Be sure to come hungry because most of our events boast fantastic food galore and the proceeds from food stands often benefit great local organizations.
