Celebrate the 4th of July in Pleasantville beginning at 9:00 a.m. on July 2nd with a Firecracker 5k Fun Run which starts at the parking lot near the Little League Fields. This year, there is a one-mile and 5K option. For more race information, e-mail PleasantvilleFirecracker5k@gmail.com
On Monday, July 4th, the parade starts at 11:00 a.m. Line-up begins at 10:30 a.m. in the High School Parking lot.
Also on July 4th, enjoy the Joe Inman Band at 7:00 p.m., sponsored by Michelle Greene-Iowa Realty, in Cora Shadle Park. The band will play right up to the beginning of the Fireworks display which starts at dusk.
